Hailing from South East England, John completed his secondary education at Ashford Grammar School in Kent before earning a BSc in Economics with First-Class Honours from the University of Sussex. His academic foundation in financial markets and quantitative analysis laid the groundwork for a distinguished career in the UK financial sector.

John began his professional journey in 2001 as a Junior Fixed Income Analyst at Thames Sovereign Bank, where he honed his skills in credit risk assessment and bond valuation. In 2005, he advanced to Senior Portfolio Manager at Capital Bridge Advisors, overseeing multimillion-pound corporate debt portfolios and implementing hedging strategies amid the global financial crisis. By 2010, he had risen to Director of Fixed Income Research at Meridian Financial Group, leading a team focused on government securities and emerging market bonds, where his insights contributed to resilient investment frameworks during periods of economic uncertainty.

In 2016, John was headhunted by Pacific Bond Capital, a leading Australian investment firm, to establish and lead their fixed income division in Sydney. This move marked a pivotal expansion of his international perspective, blending European market acumen with Asia-Pacific dynamics to manage diverse bond portfolios amid shifting regulatory landscapes.

Joining LWP Capital in 2022, John has leveraged his extensive track record to enhance the firm’s advisory services, integrating advanced credit analysis with innovative portfolio strategies tailored to client objectives. His deep understanding of macroeconomic trends and fixed income instruments has been instrumental in delivering customized solutions that mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities in global debt markets.
